Walk, Pause and Pray
Our beautiful, peaceful churchyard is always open for you to come and reflect, pray and also to spend time remembering those you love who have gone to glory but remain always in your hearts.
Please do come anytime and use the space to bring your thoughts, worries and cares to the God of love who cares for us all.
Please keep dogs on a lead at all time and please keep social distancing.

Prayer & Study Groups
Our Prayer and Study Groups offer the opportunity to think more about the hope we have because of Jesus' life, death and resurrection. Our groups meet by Zoom weekly and fortnightly respecitvely - one group on a Tuesday evening and the other on a Wednesday evening - you are very welcome to join either group at any time.
To join a group, please contact Barbara (see below) with your name, contact details and your choice of evening. The group host will then send you the Zoom link and passcode.
On 23rd May the church celebrates the day of Pentecost, the birthday of the church over 2000 years ago.
We will be holding an outdoor Pentecost service and party in the churchyard with a competition, prizes and party bags!
Watch this space for more information nearer the date. All welcome.
Our main Sunday services are led by our robed choir and we sing a variety of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs. We are also availalbe to sing at weddings. We enjoy singing and having fun together and welcome singers of all ages and stages! Contact Malcolm for more information. Please note we are not meeting presently due to COVID19
We have a wonderful tower in our church which houses 8 bells. Our bellringers are a very friendly team who enjoy fellowship as well as ringing bells! Newcomers are always very welcome. Contact Jim for more information. Please note we are not meeting at the moment due to COVID19 but we do get together for Zoom quizzes!
Prayer & Bible Study
Our prayer groups meet weekly and bi-weekly throughout the year on Zoom. Over Advent and Lent these groups also include bible study material which helps us to focus on these important seasons. We intend to expand these bible study sessions in future to cover other times of the year. You are always welcome to join us. Contact Barbara for further details.
In normal times, we have a regular monthly walk around Attenborough Nature Reserve, on the third Saturday of the month. All walks start at 8.30am in St Mary’s Church, and return there for a welcome bacon butty (gluten-free and vegetarian options are available) and tea or coffee. Dogs are also welcome. Contact Eileen for more information.
Tuesday Coffee Mornings
Normally we hold coffee mornings every Tuesday in the church. They are open to all and we often raise money for different charities. Everyone is welcome - come and join us for cake and a cuppa!
For the time being this has had to be suspended due to COVID19, however we will be back as soon as we can!
